Pets
With prior arrangement, we welcome well behaved dogs that are happy around other dogs and there is no additional charge. However, we ask for a cash deposit on arrival of £50. This will be fully refunded at checkout if no extra cleaning or maintenance is required in your room.
We are sorry but we cannot accommodate cats, rabbits or other pets.

Car Parking
We have space for two or three cars at the back of the house. These are available to guests on a first come first served basis. There is also free unlimited parking on Exeter Road and Park Road very close to the house and if you are planning to use your car a lot during your stay may we suggest you use these for ease of access. Taunton House is located right in the heart of Swanage, very close to all the pubs and restaurants and a very short walk to the beach so you may not need your car at all.

Check in between 5pm-7pm. If this is not convenient we can be flexible but please let us know in advance. Please try and keep in touch if you are delayed.
Check out before 10.30am.
WiFi
There is free and unlimited WiFi all around the house, your access code will be given to you on arrival .
Shower rooms:
We provide liquid hand soap on the basins and shower gel in a dispenser in the shower.
Breakfast
All room rates include breakfast. Choose from our menu the night before and we will cook it fresh for when you come down in the morning. We endeavour to cater for all dietary needs. Please let us know if you have any particular requirements.
Children over the age of 10 are welcome.
Smoking Policy
Taunton House is our home and we request that there is no smoking anywhere in or around the house. We reserve the right to charge a fee if you smoke in your room.
Getting Here by Road
From Corfe
Follow the A351 from Corfe through Harman’s Cross signposted Swanage. Continue on this road, as you approach Swanage you’ll see the "Welcome to Swanage" sign on your left. As you pass this you will see the school on your left, further along the road bends to the left, at the junction turn right into High Street. Carry on all the way to the town centre, you will pass Jewsons Builders Merchants and then the road bends sharply to the left then bends right, keep on going till you come to the post office on your right just before a mini roundabout. Turn right. You will come to a fork in the road, the Mowlem Centre is in front of you, turn right. There is another fork in the road bare left, Taunton Road is immediately on the right. Turn into Taunton Road and Taunton House is 50m on the right.
From the Ferry at Sandbanks
Leave the Chain Ferry and pay the toll at the booth. Continue straight on the B3351 and pass through Studland Village. Just beyond the village there is a left hand fork signposted Swanage. Take this left fork, this is the Ulwell Road and you will continue downhill passing through Ulwell, a signpost on the left ‘Welcome to Swanage’. Continue and follow sign for Town Centre. Continue through one way right hand bend. Pass All Saints Church on right and continue down into beautiful Swanage Bay. Continue along until you see a turning on your right called Victoria Avenue and take this turning. Very quickly you come to some traffic lights, turn left. Follow this road for 200m till you get to a mini roundabout. Turn left. You will come to a fork in the road, the Mowlem Centre is in front of you, turn right. There is another fork in the road bare left, Taunton Road is immediately on the right. Turn into Taunton Road and Taunton House is 50m on the right.
